About

From Friday 26 November, Whitefriargate’s streetscape will be transformed by vibrant light works and neon sculptures as part of an inspired public art installation. Created by Nottingham-based artist Raphael Daden, this exhibition will see Whitefriargate’s empty shop fronts come alive with a series of moving projections and lights, set to compliment the popular festive lights also on display. Daden, an established sculptor who works mainly with light, has exhibited at numerous galleries and centres across the UK as well as in Germany, and was selected from a shortlist of artists after applying for the commission. Daden’s installation will run until Friday 4th February, when a new commission by Hsiao-Chi Tsai and Kimiya Yoshikawa will be installed.
