The course is  accredited by the Open College Network and is designed to give Carers, Educational Staff, Sales Staff, Local Authority Workers etc the skills and knowledge to deliver services which are accessible and inclusive for people with sight loss.

The Visually Impaired Awareness Training is a one day course held at HERIB's premises in Beverley Road, Hull. During the day there is a mixture of theory and practical sessions and then there is a 3 hour work based private study based, where a small project is completed under supervision.
